SECONDA TAPPA CAMPIONATO ITALIANO ACI KARTING 2022
Il 24-26 Giugno siamo sati impegnati a Ugento per la seconda gara del Campionato italiano ACI Karting 2022. Pista lunga e un sole cocente hanno dato dato il benvenuto a quasi 300 iscritti tra tutte le categorie. Le prime prove non sono partite con il piede giusto, con Alex molto lontano dalla vetta della classifica; fortunatamente, con il proseguo del weekend il distacco dai primi si riduce ad ogni sessione. Dopo due manches di qualificazione molto tirate e combattute, Alex riesce a qualificarsi per la finale, riducendo ulteriormente il distacco dai primi. La prima gara purtroppo finisce anzitempo a causa di un danno meccanico al kart durante un duello ravvicinato con un avversario; fortunatamente in gara 2 riusciamo a dimostrare il nostro vero potenziale, con un’ottima rimonta dalla 31esima posizione di partenza alla 24esima posizione finale, con numerosi sorpassi e duelli.
On June 24th-26th we were busy in Ugento for the second race of the Italian ACI Karting 2022 Championship. A long track and a scorching sun welcomed nearly 300 entries across all categories. The first tests did not start too well, with Alex very far from the top of the standings; fortunately, with the rest of the weekend the gap from the leaders is reduced within each session. After two very tight and hard-fought qualifying heats, Alex manages to qualify for the final, further reducing the gap from the leaders. The first race unfortunately ends prematurely due to mechanical damage to the kart during a close duel with an opponent; luckily in race 2 we are able to show our true potential, with an excellent comeback from the 31st starting position to the 24th final position, with numerous overtaking and duels.
