L’attesa è finita. La stagione 2024 di Alex Zucco è finalmente pronta per avere inizio, con il primo appuntamento in programma sul Cremona Circuit e valido per la prestigiosa WSK Super Master Series. Il talentuoso pilota di Buccinasco tornerà a sfidare i migliori interpreti della categoria KZ2 su scala internazionale, con l’obiettivo di proseguire il percorso di crescita già messo in mostra lo scorso anno e potendo contare su una dose di esperienza sicuramente maggiore rispetto al passato.
In vista di questo importante evento, il giovane Alex si è preparato con la consueta attenzione e cura al dettaglio, lavorando sia sotto l’aspetto della preparazione fisica e mentale ma anche attraverso un impegnativo programma di test svolti in pista. Nelle scorse settimane, infatti, il 16enne lombardo ha svolto intense giornate in pista sui tracciati di Franciacorta e Cremona, lanciando ottimi segnali in vista di una stagione che lo vedrà nuovamente protagonista su palcoscenici internazionali di grande livello, primo fra tutti il Mondiale in programma nel mese di Ottobre a Portimao.
Nel round valevole per il secondo atto stagionale della WSK Super Master Series, Zucco ritroverà gran parte degli avversari con cui si era già misurato nel corso della scorsa annata, potendo dunque effettuare una comparazione diretta in grado di evidenziare i suoi progressi. Saranno infatti ben 326 i piloti complessivamente al via della sfida in programma lungo i 1224 metri del circuito di San Martino del Lago, di cui ben 47 ai nastri di partenza della categoria di punta KZ2: Alex sarà al via con il numero 76 ed affronterà un impegnativa sequenza di sessioni, con l’obiettivo di raggiungere la Finale in programma Domenica 11 Febbraio.
Alex Zucco: “Finalmente ci siamo! Sono molto felice di poter tornare ad affrontare una competizione ufficiale e misurarmi in pista con i miei avversari, dopo un inverno nel corso del quale abbiamo lavorato duramente per farci trovare pronti alle nuove sfide che ci attendono. La pista di Cremona mi piace molto e conto di poter mettere in mostra un deciso passo avanti rispetto alla scorsa stagione: i test che abbiamo svolto la scorsa settimana sono stati molto produttivi e sicuramente ci hanno fornito molte indicazioni utili in vista del weekend di gara. Purtroppo le previsioni meteo per il fine settimana sembrano essere tutt’altro che favorevoli, visto che la pioggia potrebbe recitare un ruolo da protagonista: comunque vada, cercherò di adattarmi al meglio a qualsiasi situazione, mettendo a frutto l’esperienza già maturata lo scorso anno in questa categoria. Darò come sempre tutto me stesso, nella speranza di regalare una bella soddisfazione alla mia famiglia e agli sponsor che mi sostengono e che ringrazio per il supporto: l’obiettivo è di iniziare con un bel risultato questa nuova stagione e partire con il piede giusto!”
Il programma del fine settimana, dopo le varie sessioni di prove libere, entrerà nel vivo a partire da Venerdì 9 Febbraio, quando alle 12:40 scatterà la prima serie di qualifiche. Subito a seguire avranno inizio le manche eliminatorie, che si protrarranno per l’intera giornata seguente. Infine, Domenica 11 avranno luogo le Prefinali (a partire dalle 9:30), mentre la Finale della categoria KZ2 scatterà alle ore 12:40 e sarà trasmessa in live streaming sui canali Social (YouTube e Facebook) di WSK Promotion.

The wait is over. Alex Zucco’s 2024 season is finally ready to begin, with the first appointment scheduled on the Cremona Circuit and valid for the prestigious WSK Super Master Series. The talented driver from Buccinasco will return to challenge the best performers in the KZ2 category on an international scale, with the aim of continuing the growth path already showcased last year and being able to count on a certainly greater dose of experience than in the past.
In view of this important event, the young Alex prepared with the usual attention and attention to detail, working both in terms of physical and mental preparation but also through a demanding program of tests carried out on the track. In recent weeks, in fact, the 16-year-old from Lombardy has carried out intense track days on the Franciacorta and Cremona tracks, sending excellent signals in view of a season that will once again see him protagonist on high-level international stages, first of all the World Championship scheduled for month of October in Portimao.
In the round valid for the second seasonal act of the WSK Super Master Series, Zucco will find most of the opponents with whom he had already competed during last year, thus being able to make a direct comparison capable of highlighting his progress. Alex Zucco: “We’re finally here! I am very happy to be able to return to an official competition and compete on the track with my rivals, after a winter during which we worked hard to be ready for the new challenges that await us. I really like the Cremona track and I hope to be able to show a decisive step forward compared to last season: the tests we have carried out last week were very productive and certainly provided us with many useful indications in view of the race weekend. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for the weekend seems to be anything but favourable, given that the rain could play a leading role: whatever happens, I will try to adapt as best as possible to any situation, making the most of the experience already gained last year in this category. As always, I will give my all, in the hope of giving great satisfaction to my family and to the sponsors who support me and whom I thank for their support: the goal is to start this new season with a good result and get off on the right foot!”
The weekend programme, after the various free practice sessions, will come into full swing starting from Friday 9 February, when the first series of qualifying will start at 12.40pm. The preliminary heats will begin immediately afterwards and will continue for the entire following day. Finally, the Prefinals will take place on Sunday 11th (starting from 9.30am), while the Final of the KZ2 category will start at 12.40pm and will be broadcast in live streaming on WSK Promotion’s social channels (YouTube and Facebook).
