Il giovane talento del DR Racing Kart in pista a Wackersdorf per l’ultima sfida prima dell’appuntamento iridato in programma dal 7 al 10 Settembre sul circuito tedesco
Il Mondiale di Karting si avvicina e Alex Zucco continua il proprio percorso di preparazione in vista dell’appuntamento “clou” della stagione 2023. Il giovane portacolori del DR Racing Kart sarà infatti nuovamente impegnato il prossimo week-end sul circuito di Wackersdorf (Germania), sede dell’appuntamento che dal 7 al 10 Settembre radunerà i migliori interpreti della disciplina a livello internazionale per l’attesissima sfida iridata.
In questa occasione, il grintoso pilota milanese sarà al via del Deutsche Kartmeisterschaft, prova inserita nel calendario del campionato tedesco e che costituirà per diversi partecipanti l’ultima occasione per testare i propri mezzi lungo i 1197 metri del tracciato che sorge nel cuore della Baviera. In una entry list composta da oltre quaranta concorrenti, Zucco sarà uno dei tre rappresentanti italiani al via nella categoria KZ2, con l’obiettivo di perfezionare il feeling con una pista già conosciuta in occasione del recente ‘Road To Wackersdorf’ svoltosi dal 21 al 23 Luglio.
Come si ricorderà, in tale occasione il 16enne lombardo era riuscito a ben figurare nella sua prima uscita sul circuito tedesco, mettendo in mostra progressi significativi nell’arco del weekend. Al cospetto dei migliori e più esperti piloti al mondo, il giovane Alex aveva come di consueto lottato con il coltello tra i denti, ottenendo il pass per la Superheats e lasciando intravedere ottime potenzialità in un contesto di altissimo livello. Un antipasto della prova iridata che andrà in scena tra poche settimane, in occasione della quale gli occhi del mondo kartistico (e non solo) saranno puntati proprio sull’evento che andrà in scena a Wackersdorf.
Per Alex Zucco si tratterà del ritorno in pista dopo una breve pausa estiva, nel corso della quale il driver di Buccinasco ha ricaricato le batterie dedicandosi anche alla preparazione fisica: grazie al programma di lavoro messo a punto dal suo preparatore atletico, il pilota ha posto le basi per una seconda parte di stagione alquanto impegnativa, che lo vedrà impegnato su diversi fronti e nel cui ambito sarà di fondamentale importanza godere di una perfetta forma fisica.
Alex Zucco (pilota DR Racing Kart): “Dopo alcune settimane di sosta, sono davvero molto carico in vista della seconda parte della stagione. Abbiamo deciso di prendere parte a questo evento del campionato tedesco proprio per acquisire la maggiore esperienza possibile su questo circuito, in maniera tale da poter recuperare anche il gap nei confronti degli altri piloti che avevano già girato in passato su questa pista. I riscontri emersi dall’evento svoltosi lo scorso mese sono stati sicuramente positivi: grazie anche al grande supporto fornitomi dal team, siamo riusciti a crescere nel corso delle varie sessioni e ad avvicinarci progressivamente alle prestazioni dei migliori. In questo fine settimana l’obiettivo sarà quello di andare a caccia di un ulteriore step che possa poi consentirmi di giocare un ruolo da protagonista nel Mondiale di Settembre: teniamo tutti tantissimo a questo appuntamento e di sicuro non intendiamo farci cogliere impreparati. Il programma, dopo la giornata dedicata alle prove libere, entrerà nel vivo Sabato 26 Agosto con le sessioni di qualifica che scatteranno a partire dalle ore 10:25. Sempre nella medesima giornata, si svolgeranno le batterie di qualificazione in base alla suddivisione dei concorrenti nei vari gruppi, le quali andranno a precedere le due Finali in programma Domenica 27: la prima scatterà alle 11:35, mentre la seconda concluderà il programma della manifestazione con il via fissato alle ore 15:15. Entrambe le giornate di gara saranno trasmesse in diretta streaming sul sito www.kart-dm.de, insieme al live timing disponibile sin dalle prove libere di venerdì.
ALEX ZUCCO RETURNS TO GERMANY FOR ANOTHER STAGE TO APPROACH THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The Karting World Championship is approaching and Alex Zucco continues his preparation path in view of the most important appointment of the 2023 season. The young driver of the DR Racing Kart will in fact be busy again next weekend on the Wackersdorf circuit (Germany), place of the round which from 7 to 10 September will bring together the best interpreters of the discipline at an international level for the long-awaited championship challenge.
On this occasion, the fast Milanese driver will be at the start of the Deutsche Kartmeisterschaft, a race included in the German championship calendar and which will be the last opportunity for many participants to test their vehicles along the 1197-metre track located in the heart of Bavaria. In an entry list made up of over forty competitors, Zucco will be one of the three Italian representatives at the start in the KZ2 category, with the aim of perfecting the feeling with a track already known on the occasion of the recent ‘Road To Wackersdorf’ held from 21st to 23rd July.
As will be recalled, on that occasion the 16-year-old from Lombardy managed to do well in his first outing on the German circuit, showing significant progress over the weekend. In the presence of the best and most experienced riders in the world, the young Alex had fought as usual with a knife between his teeth, obtaining the pass for the Superheats and revealing excellent potential in a very high-level context. An appetizer of the world round that will be staged in a few weeks, on the occasion of which the eyes of the karting world (and not only) will be focused precisely on the event that will be staged in Wackersdorf.
For Alex Zucco it will be a return to the track after a short summer break, during which the driver from Buccinasco recharged his batteries by also dedicating himself to physical preparation: thanks to the work program developed by his athletic trainer, the driver the foundations for a somewhat demanding second part of the season, which will see him engaged on various fronts and in which it will be of fundamental importance to enjoy perfect physical shape.

We decided to take part in this event of the German championship precisely to gain the greatest possible experience on this circuit, so as to be able to close the gap against the other drivers who had already ridden on this track in the past. The feedback that emerged from the event held last month was certainly positive: thanks also to the great support provided to me by the team, we were able to grow over the course of the various sessions and gradually get closer to the performances of the best. This weekend the goal will be to hunt for a further step that can then allow me to play a leading role in the World Cup in September: we all care a lot about this appointment and we certainly don’t intend to be caught unprepared. After the day dedicated to free practice, the program will come alive on Saturday 26 August with the qualifying sessions starting at 10:25. Also on the same day, the qualifying heats will take place based on the division of the competitors into the various groups, which will precede the two Finals scheduled for Sunday 27: the first will start at 11:35, while the second will conclude the program of the event with the start set at 15:15. Both days of competition will be broadcast in live streaming on the website www.kart-dm.de, together with the live timing available from Friday’s free practice.
