Nuova sfida alle porte per Alex Zucco. A poco più di un mese dalla trionfale apparizione nella Coppa Italia ACI Karting, conclusa con la conquista del titolo nella categoria Under 18, il veloce pilota di Buccinasco sarà infatti protagonista nel prestigioso appuntamento della WSK Final Cup, in programma sul Franciacorta Karting Track di Castrezzato (Brescia) dal 23 al 26 Novembre. Per il 16enne portacolori del DR Racing Kart si tratterà di una ghiotta occasione per acquisire ulteriore esperienza ma soprattutto per confermare un’annata di grande crescita, culminata appunto con la conquista dell’importante trofeo sul Circuito Valle del Liri.
Il secondo e ultimo atto della WSK Final Cup vedrà impegnati complessivamente oltre 350 piloti lungo i 1300 metri dell’impianto bresciano, con la categoria KZ2 pronta a regalare spettacolo grazie alla presenza di molti tra i principali interpreti della specialità a livello internazionale, i quali si contenderanno il titolo durante il week-end di gare. Saranno ben 49 i protagonisti al via del round in terra lombarda, con Zucco che punterà a recitare un ruolo da protagonista con l’obiettivo minimo di strappare un posto per la finale in programma nel pomeriggio di Domenica 26 Novembre.
Un obiettivo sicuramente alla portata del giovane pilota milanese, forte anche della fiducia acquisita in seguito alla splendida prestazione messa a segno nella recente Coppa Italia ACI Karting, dove è riuscito a conquistare il gradino più alto del podio al termine di un fine settimana in crescendo nella graduatoria riservata agli Under 18, oltre ad un ottimo quinto posto nella classifica assoluta. Un risultato reso possibile grazie al grande e costante lavoro portato avanti nel corso della stagione, che ha visto Alex per la prima volta protagonista sui principali palcoscenici del karting a livello continentale ed internazionale.
Un’annata intensa ma al tempo stesso estremamente preziosa, che sicuramente tornerà utile a Zucco nel prosieguo della sua attività agonistica. Prima di pensare al futuro e alla sfida finale della stagione che lo vedrà protagonista nel mese di Dicembre nell’ambito del 28° Trofeo ‘Ayrton Senna’ a Sarno, il talentuoso driver lombardo dovrà cercare di mettersi in luce in un evento di grande visibilità, andando a caccia delle posizioni di vertice seppur messo a confronto con piloti dotati di un’esperienza nettamente superiore.

Abbiamo corso qui circa due mesi fa nel Campionato Italiano ACI Karting, crescendo sessione dopo sessione e concludendo il week-end ad un passo dal podio nella categoria Under 18. Le premesse sono dunque positive, anche se non voglio farmi eccessive illusioni poiché sono consapevole di dovermi confrontare con avversari di altissimo livello. Per quanto mi riguarda, il successo nella Coppa Italia ha rappresentato una grande iniezione di fiducia, dimostrando che con l’impegno e la perseveranza i risultati possono arrivare. Dopo la giornata di prove libere, la sfida entrerà nel vivo Venerdì 24 Novembre con lo svolgimento delle qualifiche a partire dalle 11:40 e la prima delle manches eliminatorie che scatterà alle 14:30. L’indomani verranno disputate le restanti batterie, mentre Prefinale e Finale andranno in scena nella giornata conclusiva di Domenica, con start alle 12:00 e alle 15:45. New challenge coming for Alex Zucco. Just over a month after his triumphant appearance in the ACI Karting Italian Cup, which ended with the conquest of the title in the Under 18 category, the fast driver from Buccinasco will in fact be the protagonist in the prestigious event of the WSK Final Cup, scheduled on the Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato (Brescia) from 23 to 26 November. For the 16-year-old representative of DR Racing Kart it will be a wonderful opportunity to gain further experience but above all to confirm a year of great growth, which culminated with the conquest of the important trophy on the Valle del Liri Circuit.
The second and final act of the WSK Final Cup will see a total of over 350 drivers involved along the 1300 meters of the Brescia facility, with the KZ2 category ready to put on a show thanks to the presence of many of the main interpreters of the specialty at an international level, who will will compete for the title during the racing weekend. There will be 49 protagonists at the start of the round in Lombardy, with Zucco who will aim to play a leading role with the minimum objective of snatching a place for the final scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 26 November.
An objective certainly within the reach of the young Milanese driver, also thanks to the confidence acquired following the splendid performance achieved in the recent ACI Karting Italian Cup, where he managed to conquer the top step of the podium at the end of a growing weekend in ranking reserved for Under 18s, as well as an excellent fifth place in the overall ranking. A result made possible thanks to the great and constant work carried out during the season, which saw Alex as a protagonist for the first time on the main karting stages at a continental and international level.
An intense but at the same time extremely precious year, which will certainly be useful to Zucco in the continuation of his competitive activity. Before thinking about the future and the final challenge of the season which will see him as protagonist in the month of December as part of the 28th ‘Ayrton Senna’ Trophy in Sarno, the talented driver from Lombardy will have to try to shine in a highly visible event, hunting for top positions despite being compared to pilots with significantly superior experience.

We raced here about two months ago in the Italian ACI Karting Championship, growing session after session and concluding the weekend one step away from the podium in the Under 18 category. The premises are therefore positive, even if I don’t want to have excessive illusions since I am aware of having to compete with very high level opponents. As far as I’m concerned, the success in the Italian Cup represented a great injection of confidence, demonstrating that with commitment and perseverance results can be achieved. After the day of free practice, the challenge will come to life on Friday 24 November with the qualifying sessions starting at 11.40am and the first of the qualifying heats starting at 2.30pm. The remaining heats will be held the following day, while the Prefinal and Final will take place on the final day of Sunday, with starts at 12:00 and 15:45.
