Il talentuoso pilota DR Racing Kart sfida i big della categoria KZ2 nell’evento in prova unica che assegna il prestigioso trofeo tricolore: un’occasione per confermare la crescita messa in mostra nell’arco della stagione
E’ tempo di tornare in azione per Alex Zucco, a distanza di tre settimane dalla convincente prestazione messa in mostra nell’ultimo round del Campionato Italiano ACI Karting andato in scena sul Franciacorta Karting Track. L’occasione è rappresentata in questo caso dalla Coppa Italia ACI Karting, prestigioso evento in prova unica che andrà in scena sul Circuito Valle del Liri di Arce (Frosinone) nel weekend del 13-15 Ottobre. Il portacolori DR Racing Kart, reduce da una stagione in costante crescita, è atteso ad una nuova conferma in un appuntamento che lo vedrà a confronto con tutti i big della categoria KZ2.
Nonostante un’annata particolarmente impegnativa e ricca di appuntamenti in pista, il giovane pilota di Buccinasco è pronto per affrontare la nuova sfida con il consueto carico di grinta ed entusiasmo, come sempre supportato dalla professionalità del team diretto da Danilo Rossi. L’obiettivo sarà innanzitutto quello di conquistare un posto in Finale e poi di dare la caccia alle parte alta della classifica, proseguendo così il trend positivo che lo aveva visto sfoderare una prestazione tutta grinta nel precedente round svoltosi sul tracciato bresciano.
Quello di Arce è un circuito decisamente tecnico ed in grado di mettere a dura prova la preparazione dei piloti: inaugurato nel 1982, esso misura 1200 metri ed è composto da un totale di 11 curve, con violente staccate che offrono molteplici opportunità di sorpasso. La bagarre di certo non mancherà per quello che sarà uno degli ultimi trofei in palio per la stagione kartistica tricolore, che ha visto Alex Zucco prendere parte a tutti i principali appuntamenti.
Il 16enne lombardo, nel corso delle precedenti giornate, è inoltre tornato al volante di una monoposto di Formula Renault 2.0, con la quale ha disputato una fruttuosa sessione di test sul Cremona Circuit. Zucco ha percorso oltre 400 km con la vettura della scuderia Viola Formula Racing, mettendo a segno un’escalation prestazionale costante e senza dubbio promettente. Si è trattata di una valida opportunità per tenersi in allenamento e soprattutto per maturare preziosa esperienza in vista degli step successivi della propria carriera.

Il programma del fine settimana prevede nella giornata di Venerdì 13 Ottobre lo svolgimento di cinque turni di prove libere per ciascuna categoria in pista, mentre le prove ufficiali della KZ2 avranno luogo alle 16:50. L’indomani, dopo il warm up mattutino, le qualifiche alle ore 10:05 rappresenteranno la prima di una lunga serie di sfide che andranno a caratterizzare la giornata, con le due manche che si svolgeranno alle 11:40 e alle 15:45. Domenica 15 Ottobre, infine, la Prefinale scatterà alle 10:25 e si svolgerà sulla distanza di 16 tornate, andando a precedere l’appuntamento con la Finale che invece si disputerà su 19 giri con start alle 14:25. Prefinali e finali saranno trasmesse in diretta TV su ACI Sport TV (SKY canale 228), in diretta Live Streaming e on demand sul sito www.acisport.it, oltre che sulla pagina Facebook del Campionato Italiano ACI Karting.

It’s time to return to action for Alex Zucco, three weeks after the convincing performance shown in the last round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship staged on the Franciacorta Karting Track. The occasion is represented in this case by the ACI Karting Italian Cup, a prestigious single-trial event that will be staged on the Valle del Liri Circuit in Arce (Frosinone) on the weekend of 13-15 October. The DR Racing Kart standard bearer, fresh from a season of constant growth, is expected to gain further confirmation in an event that will see him compete against all the big names in the KZ2 category.
Despite a particularly demanding year full of track events, the young driver from Buccinasco is ready to face the new challenge with the usual load of determination and enthusiasm, as always supported by the professionalism of the team directed by Danilo Rossi. The objective will first of all be to secure a place in the Final and then to chase the top of the rankings, thus continuing the positive trend that had seen him show off a performance full of determination in the previous round held on the Brescia track.
Arce is a decidedly technical circuit capable of putting the drivers’ preparation to the test: inaugurated in 1982, it measures 1200 meters and is made up of a total of 11 corners, with violent braking points that offer multiple overtaking opportunities. There will certainly be no shortage of brawl for what will be one of the last trophies up for grabs for the Italian karting season, which saw Alex Zucco take part in all the main events.
During the previous days, the 16-year-old from Lombardy also returned to the wheel of a Formula Renault 2.0 single-seater, with which he had a fruitful test session on the Cremona Circuit. Zucco traveled over 400 km with the Viola Formula Racing team car, achieving a constant and undoubtedly promising performance escalation. It was a valid opportunity to keep in training and above all to gain valuable experience in view of the next steps in one’s career.

The weekend program includes five rounds of free practice for each category on the track on Friday 13 October, while the official tests for KZ2 will take place at 4.50pm. The next day, after the morning warm up, qualifying at 10.05 will represent the first of a long series of challenges that will characterize the day, with the two heats taking place at 11.40 and 15.45. Finally, on Sunday 15 October, the Prefinal will start at 10.25am and will take place over 16 laps, preceding the appointment with the Final which will instead take place over 19 laps with start at 2.25pm. Prefinals and finals will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV (SKY channel 228), live streaming and on demand on the website www.acisport.it, as well as on the Facebook page of the Italian ACI Karting Championship.
